Thank you so much for your generous support of the Cure Tay-Sachs Foundation. Many of us here at the foundation are parents of Tay-Sachs children. We are often referred to as heroes for the work we do day to day caring for our sick children. People tell us how they admire us and often cant understand where our strength comes from. It comes from YOU!
We did not choose to be the parents of terminally ill children - it was the work of genetics, hereditary, and fate. While we are deeply moved to be chosen as the care givers for these angelic children for their all too short lives we did not have a choice.
You, on the other hand, had a choice. You elected to come fight this terrible disease by our side. You decided to share our sorrow, lift our spirits, and celebrate the brave children battling this sinister disease. You had a choice and you chose to stay and fight. That says a lot about YOU!
Our donors and supporters have become our friends. You have all become a community of supporters and a spirit that we can always feel. You have lightened a load that is too heavy to carry alone. You have lifted us when all seemed lost and only the love of many could pierce the darkness. And now today, you have donated your time and your money to help us beat this disease once and for all.
Our strength comes from you and we are most grateful YOU are there. If you'd like to see a hero, find a mirror in your house. You could have supported anything or anyone and you chose us. Thank YOU so very much!!! Together we will change the course of this disease for ever.
